This antibody is specific to 450 kDa (non-reduced) and 170 to 180 kD (reduced) form of thrombospondin. Thrombospondin is a protein from platelet α granules. It is secreted at sites of platelet activation and aggregation and is involved in the differentiation of leukocytes, fibroblasts, smooth muscle and endothelial cells.

The Modified Gomori Methenamine-Silver Nitrate Stain (GMS Stain Kit) is intended for use in the histologic visualization of fungi, basement membrane and some opportunistic organisms such as Pneumocystis carinii. Pneumocystis carinii is an opportunistic pathogen that causes severe pulmonary disease in humans, dogs, rats, mice and other vertebrate species with acquired, induced, or inherited immune deficiency syndromes. In addition, this procedure will demonstrate Actinomyces and related species, Nocardia asteroids, and certain encapsulated bacteria.
Diagnostic Biosystems TNF-ALPHA TNF-Alpha (Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha)
This MAb recognizes human 17-26kDa protein, which is identified as cytokine TNF-α (Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha). Monomeric human TNF-α is a 157 amino acid protein (non-glycosylated) with a reported molecular weight of 17 kDa and can be expressed as a free molecule, also TNF-α is generated as a precursor form called transmembrane TNF-α can be expressed as a cell surface type II polypeptide consisting of 233 amino acid residues molecular weight 26 kDa. TNF-α is an important cell-signaling component of the immune system. It is a protein secreted by LPS stimulated macrophages, and causes tumor necrosis when injected into tumor bearing mice. TNF-α is currently being evaluated in treatment of certain cancers and AIDS Related Complex.

This product is intended for qualitative immunohistochemistry with normal and neoplastic formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, tobe viewed by light microscopy. Clinical interpretation of staining results should be accompanied by histological studies with proper controls. Patients’ clinical histories and other relevant diagnostic tests should be utilized by a qualified person (s) when evaluating and interpreting results. This kit is designed to label specific primary antibodies immunohistochemically on tissue sections. The immunohistochemical protocol defined in this brochure is just a guideline. Depending upon tissue fixation conditions, the primary antibody employed, and the user's experience, we encourage individual laboratory to optimize its own protocol. These reagents were tested and quality controlled using tissue sections, however, they can also be optimized for cell smears and cytospin preparations. Sufficient reagents are provided to run 50 to 100 tests.

UnoVue Mouse AP Detection Reagent is a non-biotin one-step detection reagent suitable for demonstrating antigens in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues and frozen sections. The UnoVue detection reagents may also be used with blood smears, cytosmears, and cell preparations. UnoVue detection reagents have been developed by directly labeling anti-mouse immunoglobulins with enzymes using a proprietary tandem hyperlabelling technology. This ensures consistent and reproducible immunodetection of mouse antibodies against nuclear, cytoplasmic and membrane antigens in different types of tissues. The single step UnoVue Detection Reagent enables faster staining procedures than traditional two-step methods using biotin and avidin/streptavidin conjugates, with significantly lower background.
